“As CFO for The Great State of Florida, I will not
only watch your money, I will protect it.” ~ Ken
Mazzie, CPA
Ken is not a career politician, he is a recognized Certified
Public Accountant, an Auditor, and a trusted Financial professional. The real question for the
Office of Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida
should be: If you must be a lawyer to be State Attorney
General, should we not have a CPA for State CFO?
Ken Mazzie has over
30 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, and
Auditing:
• As a Certified
Public Accountant
• Auditing banks and financial institutions
• Managing stocks, bonds and mutual funds
• Investigating fraud and providing forensic accounting
• Working with lending institutions in securing financing
• Developing budgets and forecasts for business development
and growth
• Securities arbitration relating to fraudulent account
activity, misrepresentation,
manipulation and unsuitable investments.
• Protecting your money
Ken Mazzie's
skill-set and background are a perfect match for the Office
of the Chief Financial Officer. Here are the CFO duties for
the great State of Florida:
• Oversees the state’s accounting and auditing functions,
including review of
state contracts and safeguarding unclaimed property
• Monitors the investment of state funds and manages the
state employees
retirement fund
• Investigates fraud, including identity theft and insurance
fraud
• Oversees cemeteries and funeral homes that pre-sell
contracts
• Oversight and licensing of insurance agents and agencies
• Ensures businesses have worker’s compensation coverage in
place for
employees, helping injured workers with benefit payments,
re-employment
• As State Fire Marshall, investigating fires and
suppressing Arson

I am a family man, a community man, a hard working
financial and accounting professional with 30
years' experience. I am a Certified Public Accountant who
understands money. I am a fiscal conservative. But what I am
not, is a career politician, and you will notice that almost all the rest of the
candidates are...
Something is wrong
in the Florida political system when it comes to the
critical Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as to
who watches your money.
Did you know that
you must be an attorney to be the State's Attorney General?
Then I will ask: Shouldn't one be a Certified Public
Accountant to be the State's CFO?
